Psychotherapy for Individuals and Couples

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in California (LMFT #152235), offering in-person sessions at my office in San Francisco’s Castro District. While all are welcome in my practice, I primarily provide psychotherapy for LGBTQ+ couples and individuals.

Clinical orientation.

I take an integrative approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to meet your unique needs. My theoretical foundation is rooted in psychodynamic principles and attachment, meaning we’ll work on exploring and understanding how your past influences the present, identifying patterns in your thoughts, behaviors and relationships, and figuring out ways to change the ones that no longer work for you. We’ll focus on strengthening your ability to stay attuned to others while holding steady in, and being able to communicate, your own thoughts, feelings, and needs. When appropriate, I offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as a tool to promote healing and resilience.

Areas of Focus: LGBTQIA+, Couples/Relationship Issues, Trauma, Sex and Sexuality, Work/School Stress, Self-acceptance, Mindfulness

I work with clients to navigate relationship issues, anxiety, trauma and personal development utilizing a trauma-informed approach to therapy, which prioritizes safety, trust and empowerment in the therapeutic process.. While clients of all social identities are welcomed into my practice, I make a point to hold space for LGBTQ+ clients who struggle disproportionately with mental health and relational issues due to cultural and societal challenges in their personal and professional lives, and I am deeply committed to working with this population to provide opportunities for greater healing and growth. I strive to offer a space free of judgment, where clients can feel supported in exploring and expressing all parts of themselves.
